What is the Pokémon Trading Card Game?
It is a two-player card game that brings the Trainer battles known from both the anime and console games to our tables. To play, you need a deck consisting of 60 cards. These include Pokémon, whose attacks are crucial to the gameplay, Energy cards used to power those attacks, as well as Trainer and Item cards with useful strategic abilities. You can play with a ready-made deck or build your own using cards found in individual booster packs. The key to victory is skilfully balancing the abilities of individual cards and managing them effectively during the game.
Why give it a try?
- Both deck building and managing your deck during the game require proper planning and strategic thinking. For adults, analysing the situation at the table and discovering relationships between cards is an interesting challenge, while for children it is a great opportunity to develop important skills.
- Each set features dozens of completely new artworks created by artists from around the world, many of which are small works of art. You may also find special full-art versions, complemented by interesting finishes on rarer cards: holographic, gold or rainbow.
- Whether you're an active player or not, you can open packs to find your favourite Pokémon, discover new illustrations or hunt for the rarest cards. These searches can be incredibly exciting, and a growing card collection will be a source of pride for every Trainer.
